Following the visit to the Troy Ruins and the Troy Museum, you are now in Bozcaada after a short sea voyage, which started from Geyikli.
As the ferry slowly and slowly approaches to the landing port, the excitement that begins to embrace you leaves its place to a curiosity right after you step on the land. There is the island center, which you see from the ferry; the houses with their unique architectural structure that you can even realize from a distance; and the side streets, where these houses are aligned, are actually attracting, exciting and make you more curious…
As you walk around the side streets reflecting the traces of Turkish and Greek cultures accompanied by cute and friendly cats, you can take photos of the houses and colorful flowers hanging from the windows of the houses that you come across. You can take a break in cafe houses or restaurants between the streets, cheer up your palate with the grapes grown in vineyards, which are the indispensable element of the island identity, and you may taste the vines by stopping by the vine producers in the island.
You may include Bozcaada Castle and Kimisis Teodoku Greek Orthodox Church, which is located right on the seaside in the center of the island and welcomes the comers to the island, in your exploration route; and if you get tired as a result of those pleasant hours spent in the center, you may stop by the tea houses that will give you nostalgic feelings under the buttonwood trees while and you keep sipping your tea or coffee. If you happen to pass Bozcaada on the 26th of July, you may go to Aya Paraskevi Monastery facing over the Ayazma Bay; you may watch the traditional activities held on the occasion of Aya Paraskevi Day, and of course, you may enjoy a beautiful sea at Ayazma Beach.
Pleasant discoveries in advance....
