Çanakkale city center is accessible by road, air and sea.
It can be reached from Ankara to Çanakkale via Polatlı - Sivrihisar - Eskişehir -Bozöyük - İnegöl - Bursa - Bandırma - Lapseki route.
Çanakkale from Istanbul can be reached by following the eastern shores of the Gallipoli peninsula via Tekirdag and Kesan. It is possible for the visitors coming from the European side of Istanbul and coming to the city centre via Tekirdağ by ferries departing from the Çanakkale Strait from Kilitbahir or Eceabat district centre. Another alternative is to take a ferry from Gelibolu to Lapseki and then reach Çanakkale city centre after a 30-35 minute road trip.
Çanakkale can be reached from Izmir by Menemen-Foça-Aliaga-Dikili-Ayvalik-Edremit-Ayvacik-Ezine route.
Opened in 1995 and opened in 2017, the new terminal building enables Çanakkale Airport to reach the city centre from Istanbul and Ankara by air.
