Troy Ancient City

The ancient city of Troy, which was accepted to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 1998, is located within the borders of Tevfikiye village, about 30 km from the city center of Çanakkale. In Troy, where the famous poet of the ancient period Homer included in his epics of Iliad and Odysseia, a continuous settlement was seen between 3000 BC and 500 AC. According to Odysseia, the second epic of Homer, the most cunning warrior of the Akhals, who realized that they could not take Troia by war, thought of the trick of the Trojan Horse. The Trojans who take the wooden horse placed in the castle entrance were not aware of the situation.
