Eskikale

It is located within the borders of Dereköy village, in the Eski Kale region which is 7 km south of Dereköy. It is built on a 450 m tall cliff and is 70 m wide. Eskikale is an important control centre due to the Pirkos Harbor located in the South, which controls the interiors of the island. In the writings, the castle is mentioned as “Paleo Kastra/Eskikale”, nowadays it is known as Eskikale.
