Çilehane

Çilehane is located in Feneraltı and it is carved in a rock that overlooks the sea and consist of a tiny 3 m2 room. Çilehane has an entrance door and a tiny window. It is been stated that structure got highly respected by people after Yazıcı Zade Mehmet efendi finished his work “Muhammideye” in seven years there. It is been called the house of experiences because Yazıcızade Mehmet Efendi secluded himself in here from time to time.
