Churches

Panaia Church, which is located at the centre of the Imbros, on Inonu Street was built in 1835 and is one of the churches that is still used. One of the churches on the island center is Metropolitan Church on the Fatih Street, the other one is Hagia Varvara Church in Yeni Mahalle which stands out with its old fountain.    Among the other churches on the island are Hagia Marina Church in Kaleköy, Agios Georgios in Zeytinliköy, which is the oldest church on Imbros, Evangelismos Teotoku Church in Tepeköy, which was built in 1832, and Hagia Marina Church in Dereköy and Koimesis Tis Theotokos Church.
