Bozcaada Castle

The Bozcaada Castle, which is located on the beach side and within the center of Bozcaada, known as Tenedos in Greek mythology, welcoming the visitors who come to the island with its magnificence is one of the best-preserved castles In Turkey. It is not known exactly when the fortress was built for the first time, but it is known that it was used by the Phoenicians, Genoese and Venetians and that the castle was restored by Fatih Sultan Mehmet.

While it is not known when the castle was built for the first time; however, it is known that it was used by Phoenicians, Genoese and Venetians, and the castle has thoroughly been restored by Mehmet the Conqueror.
