If you hear the sea waves like a beautiful melody, lost in thought with a perfect view, feeling peaceful for the past and hopeful for the future, you can easily guess that you are probably in Çanakkale. 

If you come to Çanakkale in the early hours of the day do not forget to buy warm bagel and pastry from nearest bakery, sit at a tea garden at the kordon and enjoy the gorgeous strait view while drinking your tea. 

Çanakkale city centre hosts a lot of restaurants where you can find appetizer and homemade food which alongside with a lot of places which are among the best fish restaurants of Turkey. You should try restaurants at the seaside if you want to finalize a delighted day with a dinner with fish, seafood and appetizers that you cannot get enough of.   
         
Do not forget to try and enjoy fresh seafood, keshkek (a dish of mutton or chicken and coarsely ground wheat) which is made in spring and indispensable of the village charities, cheese halva with its unique taste and vegetable meals and appetizers which are made with delicious olive oil which is of course valid for all Çanakkale.
