Respect History Monument and Park

After Akbas Martyrdom, you can reach Eceabat when you continue on the highway. The park, which is located next to the Eceabat ferry port, was built in 2008. It was renewed twice in 2010 and 2013 as well. In the park, there are cannons of the bastions, artillery shells and a monument. The monument is comprised of the soldiers of all parties involved in the war such as Corporal Seyit, Mustafa Kemal Bey and a mother figure.

In the ongoing section of the monument; there are sculpture busts of Corporal Ömer's son Nasuh Bey, Pilot Lieutenant Ali Rıza Bey, Colonel Celalettin Sığındere, Staff Colonel Ali Remzi Alçıtepe, Lieutenant Colonel Hüseyin Avni Bey, Lieutenant General Esat Bülkat Paşa, Full General Cevat Çobanlı Paşa and Marshal Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

In the other section of the park; however, there is an exhibition that animates the Gallipoli battles on a topographic platform. On the glass panels surrounding the exhibition, the detailed information is given about these battles. As the exhibition walkway is designed like a sea animation, the lines of mines laid on the Dardanelle between 05.00 – 07.30 AM in the morning of 8 March 1915, our ships laying these mines, and the allied ships are marked on the ground. In the following section, the entrenchments in the Bombasırtı Battles, where a reciprocal battle got closer even 8 meters, reflect the moment of war to the visitors.
